Agricorp is looking for a Team Leader, Network Services to join the Network & Infrastructure Services department in the Information Technology Services division.

Description

The Team Leader, Network Services provides functional supervision and technical leadership to a team of network professionals to provide operational infrastructure and application support to manage and maintain Agricorp’s complex infrastructure components.

The Role

In this role, you will:

Lead a team of network resources to ensure timely and effective resolution of diverse precedented and unprecedented requests and project related deliverables

Provide immediate and medium-term results pertaining to network design, development, and implementation to support complex project requirements, service requests, and maintenance tasks
Provide complex technical network infrastructure guidance and direction for highly advanced, critical and/or strategic initiatives or project requirements in alignment with industry best practices
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with leaders and project managers within Information Technology Services (ITS) and across the organization to exchange and clarify complex information and collaborate to resolve issues
Provide clear, confident solution recommendations for resolving complex technical problems related to how systems interconnect and overall security
Recommend new technology or infrastructure changes as appropriate to application integration
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members; supporting their ongoing professional development through training and knowledge acquisition
Manage and monitor the allocation for people resources and work within the team to ensure the achievement of the department and divisional business plan

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the area of network design and support services as it relates to Agricorp’s mandate and business objectives

Job status: Permanent (posting for a new position)
Salary: $81,498 - $95,880

Work status: Full time in office

Location: Guelph, Ontario

Qualifications

Education University undergraduate degree or 3 year college diploma program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (ie. Computer Engineering)

  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience
    • 7 plus years progressive network administration or infrastructure support with increasing responsibilities in medium complexity, multi-platform environments
    • Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise-wide network and infrastructure initiatives, including best practices, planning and managing implementations, and negotiating and monitoring service level agreements Demonstrated experience running technical projects using project management methodology
  • Certification/Designation
    • In-depth networking fundamentals knowledge, Windows Virtualization and Security Design Certification
