The opportunity Joining BPA as a Fire Protection Technician means contributing directly to the design and implementation of systems that protect lives and buildings. You’ll take part in a variety of stimulating projects where your precision and technical skills truly make a difference.
Under the supervision of Julien Rivard, P.Eng. (Director, Fire Protection) , this opportunity offers:
- Hands-on experience in both design and field work, within a collaborative team environment.
- The chance to grow your technical expertise alongside a group of passionate professionals.
- Flexibility to be based in Montréal, Longueuil, Laval, or Québec—whichever location suits you best.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate, verify and design systems for various fire protection projects for different sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential).
- Design fire protection systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Help carry out surveys of existing conditions, draw up plans using AutoCAD and Revit, and write specifications.
- Participate in code analysis and perform hydraulic calculations using HydraCALC.
- Help prepare budget estimates.
- Work closely with the project team to develop solutions tailored to client needs.
- Provide technical assistance for layout and design.
Your profile
- DEP in Building Drafting or DEC in Building Mechanics.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in fire protection systems.
- Fluency in French (spoken and written) and functional English.
- Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Office 365.
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong team spirit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
