Finning is seeking a customer focused Parts Apprentice (1st Year) to support our customers in Surrey. This position is responsible for handling a variety duties, while pursuing a Journeyperson Parts Certification.

##Job Description:
- Primary responsibility includes developing and maintaining customer relationships
- Providing sales support for telephone, walk in and shop parts needs
- Effectively managing all facets of the parts ordering process and system
- Provide front counter (over the phone and walk in) and/or shop parts counter sales support.
- Source and order new and used CAT and non-CAT parts.
- Manage backorders and provide updates regarding estimated shipping.
- Process parts credits and customer orders.
- Participate and adhere to on-site safety requirements.
- Participate in parts sales related special projects and assignments.
- Participate in call quality and performance initiatives as required.
- Other functions may include but are not limited to:
- Pulling customer and branch parts orders.
- Packing and labeling parts orders for shipments.
- Warehouse duties and housekeeping as required.
- Hydraulic hose building.
- Core inspections.
##Qualifications
- Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Caterpillar parts product knowledge would be considered an asset.
- A working knowledge of DBS, Service Information System (SIS)/ Technical Marketing Information (TMI), ProcureIT and Antares will be considered an asset
- 3 – 5 years previous experience working with customer sales, parts and/or warehouse is required.
- Excellent MS Office Package Knowledge. Specifically Excel, Outlook and Teams
Important Details:
- This role is based at the Surrey Power & Energy facility on a 5x2 Monday to Friday shift
- Level 2 apprentices MAY be considered, but this is a Level 1 apprenticeship
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement. -Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
