What you will do: The Employer Engagement Advisor is a key member of the WorkBC team responsible for building and maintaining relationships with employers across the North Okanagan to support job seekers in achieving meaningful employment. This role focuses on proactive employer outreach, recruitment and retention support, labour market information (LMI) gathering, and connecting businesses to WorkBC programs and services including wage subsidies, unpaid placements, and project-based labour market training (PBLMT). The Employer Engagement Advisor acts as a trusted partner to local employers while promoting WorkBC’s value-added services, contributing to positive employment outcomes for clients, and strengthening the regional workforce. This role works in close collaboration with the WorkBC Case Management and Employment Services teams, Community Futures North Okanagan (CFNO) programs, and community partners to align employer needs with client job-readiness. Education and Experience Post-secondary courses, certificate, degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. commerce, marketing, finance, business administration, bookkeeping, accounting or human resources) A valid class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract and business insurance 4+ years’ professional business experience in management, entrepreneurship or business ownership Relevant experience in the career development sector an asset Demonstrated business counselling/coaching skills and experience Building partnerships with employers, community agencies and other stakeholders

Salary Range: $26.50-$28.50/hour pending experience
