About This Opportunity The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that support the implementation of the capital portfolio across Canada. This includes developing category strategies and optimizing vendor relationships to align with the overall goals and objectives.
The successful candidate possesses a wealth of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, supplier negotiations and stakeholder management. The preferred location of this position will be at our Brampton office (currently hybrid – 3 days per week – current designated days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). This position will report directly into the Senior Manager, MFG Procurement.
Responsibilities
- Capability to work with large OEM procurement contracts with the ability to leverage partnerships with key suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms, while fostering long-term collaboration and innovation to drive overall TCO
- Act as a subject matter expert for acquiring goods and services for Coke Canada’s manufacturing facilities which includes knowledge of vendor capabilities, economic cost drivers, supplier financials and market competition
- Skilled negotiator required to manage complex vendor issues, continuity of supply and escalations to minimize impact to the business
- Develop strong interfaces with all Project Team members and OEMs to ensure accurate and complete understanding of all project scope documents, standards and contracts
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies that could impact future procurement decisions
- Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills to make recommendations to leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement in the Industrial Manufacturing categories, preferably for beverage companies, to support development of strategies and sourcing initiatives that deliver business value.
- University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience with a focus in Procurement, Supply Chain or Engineering
- Experience working on Capital Projects, specifically in the Manufacturing and Industrial space
