AiM Land & Environmental Servicesis an expanding progressive surface land and environmental consulting firm with an interest in oil and gas, forestry, mining, energy, and agricultural industries, as well as municipal authorities throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Canada’s north. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
-
Land Agent Diploma, Real Estate License, relative University Degree or equivalent
-
Proven experience in land acquisition, real estate negotiations, or related field
-
Commissioner for Oaths
-
Experience or familiarity with agriculture, pipeline construction, environmental issues, public relations, and public awareness
-
Strong knowledge of zoning regulations and environmental considerations
-
Great organizational and writing skills, as demonstrated by your resume and cover letter
-
Familiarity with GIS software and mapping tools
-
Valid drivers’ license
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct field acquisition work in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Complete negotiation/acquisition of complex surface land rights including well sites and pipelines, road use, damages, and other surface related issues
- Provide guidance and solutions to clients with respect to active field acquisitions
- Exercise attention to detail through proofing
- Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and other professionals to gather necessary data and information for land development projects
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess the suitability of land for various purposes such as development or conservation
- Collaborate with internal team members and provide report to ensure alignment and successful project completion
- Keep abreast of changes in local, provincial, and federal laws affecting land acquisition and use
- Stay updated on relevant market trends, land use policies, and industry best practices to inform decision-making
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods with minimal breaks
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and team safety by closely following company safety policies, standards, and procedures
- Assist with other responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the team
The candidate should meet the following criteria:
-Fluent in French and English.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, and Utilities would be considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Quebec title review, and regulatory processes.
- Experience negotiating and securing landowner agreements, easements, and leases.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with landowners, municipalities, and local stakeholders.
- Familiarity with permitting processes would be an asset.
- Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field while coordinating with project teams.
