EFFECTIVE:Assoonas****possibleto****June******30,**2026

**The ****__ ****successful ****__ ****candidate ****__ ****will:

  • Have training and / or experience at the Primary level, and at leading a possible combined grade class, with an emphasis on early literacy / language arts
  • Be familiar with the Early Learning Framework
  • Provide a child focused approach utilizing current methodology and strategies
  • Be familiar with and apply principles of Self-Regulation
  • Have knowledge and commitment to using current assessment strategies, including formative assessment
  • Have a commitment to the direction of the school as outlined in the School Growth Plan
  • Embed the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas
  • Be committed to and practice the philosophy of inclusion
  • Preferably have experience at implementing the Early Primary Reading Assessment
  • Be committed to working as a cooperative, collaborative member of a school wide instructional team and attend meetings as required
  • Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison
  • Be able to work with students with a variety of behaviours and use positive approaches to support behaviour change
  • Have experience in the use of computer technology in the classroom
  • Have experience using technology for communicating student learning

**SALARY: ** The starting annual salary for full-time teaching position ranges from $69,582 to $116,870, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, $3,500 annually as a Remote & Rural Allowance.
