DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.

Shift - Continuous 12 hours, 4 days on 4 days off for 2 weeks then rotate

  • Accurate controls to move pallet loads of cans through automatic strapping machine in automated or control sequence. Actuate controls to change strapping pattern when required.
  • Observe operation of strapping machine, top frame dispenser and pallet conveyors. Clear jams, stop, start and re-sequence assigned equipment when necessary.
  • Replenish supply of strapping and complete threading procedure when line service driver is not available. Report to Supervision or to the mechanic of any equipment malfunctions.
  • Obtain required number of inspection samples.
  • Perform any assigned check, test gauge, or instrument inspection in accordance to standard procedure. Record results in inspection form, chart, or PC. Display samples as required. Dispose of samples as directed.
  • Perform detailed visual inspection on an ongoing basis to determine the quality of the product. Considerable judgement is required when limits are not clearly defined. Examine product; fill voids in finished pallets, when necessary; in the absence of the line service driver remove defective product from the line; monitor top frames’ position and realign if possible. Record number of defects and similar related data as required.
  • Analyze inspection data and determine quality level and acceptability of product. For non-conforming product, take necessary action to isolate, release, or make recommendations as to its disposition.
  • Perform forklift duties as required.
  • Post and maintain forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels or special studies.
  • Notify appropriate personnel or superintendent when inspection data does not conform to requirements or when any major incidence or poor-quality product is noted.
  • Manage time accordingly to ensure that all process requirements are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Keep assigned area and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment, devices and guards are properly used and in place at all times. Follow safe working procedures and safety rules.

Hourly Rate: starting rate $32.24 after 60 working days/passed probation $32.76 (rates to change as of September 2, 2025 $33.74 full rate)

Perform and analyze any or all types of inspection as assigned within the Plant including visual, gauge and instrument inspection of materials, goods in process and finished product. Tend automatic pallet load, strapping machine, top frame dispenser and related pallet conveyors to ensure that the pallets going to the warehouse meet quality standards. Tend palletizer, dunnage and HFI palletizer supplies.
