The Opportunity

As Trade Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing King Living’s trade and residential project business across the Calgary region. With a strong focus on the Architecture + Design (A+D) community, this role is responsible for building meaningful, long-term relationships that drive trade sales through our showroom.

Partnering closely with showroom teams, regional leaders and trade clients, you’ll act as a passionate ambassador for the King Trade program — identifying opportunities, nurturing partnerships and positioning King Living as a trusted partner from concept through to completion.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive residential and commercial trade sales through our Calgary showroom, with a strong focus on residential trade
  • Build and grow relationships with architects, designers, developers and trade partners through regular client engagement
  • Develop partnerships with developers, including display suites and resident offer opportunities
  • Work closely with showroom teams and regional leaders to maximise trade performance
  • Lead trade training and enable showroom teams to confidently promote the King Trade program
  • Host showroom tours and represent King Living at industry and networking events
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to highlight feature projects and trade initiatives
  • Act as the primary King Trade contact in the region, providing insights and feedback to support ongoing trade growth

About You

  • Proven experience in trade sales or business development, ideally within furniture, interiors or the design industry
  • Established relationships or networks within architecture, design, development or construction
  • A natural relationship builder with a strong customer-first mindset
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and results-driven
  • Strong CRM capability and reporting discipline (Salesforce or similar)
  • Ability to analyse local market trends and identify new trade opportunities
