Job Title: Trainee Boiler Engineer

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm

Starting Salary: £18,000 PA

Location: Maidstone, Kent

About Rapid Energy

Rapid Energy is a HVAC hire specialist with expertise and knowledge rooted within temporary boilers. We design and build our own packaged boiler plant rooms in-house, to service the commercial, industrial, private and public sectors.

We operate nationwide to support our clients temporary heating and hot water requirements, be it an emergency or a planned solution. We have ambitious growth plans and we’re seeking to appoint employees that share our values, high standards, drive and commitment.

We’re currently expanding our fleet of packaged boilers and are looking to develop our operations further. It’s a very exciting and important time in the company’s journey.

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a budding trainee engineer looking to kickstart his or her career. The chosen candidate will be working alongside an experienced team, willing to support and pass on their valuable industry knowledge.

We are currently looking for a trainee boiler engineer, preferably with background experience and

Knowledge In The Following

Commercial mechanical pipework

Boiler rooms Commercial boilers Working with gas and oil Understanding of electrical services

The successful candidate will assist a qualified engineer with installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial

temporary boilers. He or she will also be required to assist with cutting into existing pipework within old

plant rooms.

Requirements

Knowledge in commercial LTHW systems

Experience using pipe threading machines Flexible and on call when required i.e. you may be required to attend an emergency outside of usual working hours. Local to South East London/North Kent (Our Yard and office is currently located in Medway and Maidstone) Clean driving licence Successful candidates will be CRB checked

Career Development

Further training will be offered to the right candidate (as/when required) i.e. NVQ in Heating &

Ventilation, gas (Gas Safe) and oil (OFTEC).
