BCIT’sSchool of Business and Mediais seeking atemporary, part-time (0.13FTE) faculty memberto teach in the marketing management professional real estate option.
Duties & Responsibilities
Courses may include, but are not limited to: MKTG 3500 Real Estate Financing.
This class is taught one weekday per week, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, in person and on campus in Burnaby. The hiring committee is seeking a real estate and finance expert with a passion for teaching and learning and a strong commitment to ensuring students develop applied skills and specialized knowledge. Applicants should have 8+ years of experience in real estate lending including residential marketplace as well as the complex commercial lending market.
The right candidate will demonstrate strong self-direction and leadership, the ability to adapt to new working environments quickly and self-sufficiently, and a commitment to the next generation of real estate professionals (as evidenced by mentoring or similar experience). Instructional experience at BCIT or in other polytechnic environments an asset.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS**:**

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, BCIT business diploma an asset.

Minimum of 8 years of proven success working in related roles.

Instructional experience at a polytechnic or similar applied institution is preferred, and/or experience with professional coaching or other adult learning environments.

An established network of relevant professional contacts in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and beyond.

Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a collegial environment.

BC Mortgage Broker’s License is preferred.

Salary Range
$65,045 - $113,545 per annum
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
