Our client is seeking an experienced Manager – Enterprise Data to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of a modern enterprise data platform. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing data engineering, integration, and cloud data initiatives that enable trusted, scalable, and actionable data across the organization. Leading a small team of highly skilled data professionals, you will drive technical excellence, champion best practices, and deliver innovative data solutions that empower business intelligence, analytics, and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data engineers and integration specialists, fostering a collaborative culture focused on innovation, continuous learning, and delivery excellence. Own the end-to-end delivery of the organization's Azure-based cloud data platform, including architecture, implementation, operations, optimization, and continuous improvement. Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective data architectures, integration solutions, and automated data pipelines that support governance, reliability, and data quality standards. Establish and promote CI/CD best practices for data engineering and integration, including automated deployments, testing, monitoring, version control, and operational support. Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data products, integrations, and analytical solutions while managing roadmaps, priorities, risks, and delivery timelines. Provide technical leadership across enterprise data initiatives by guiding solution architecture, integration patterns, transformation strategies, and modern cloud technologies to support evolving business needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or enterprise data platform development, including demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale cloud data solutions. Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teams, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects using Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, sprint planning, and backlog management. Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake/Blob Storage, Databricks, Unity Catalog, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and enterprise integration technologies such as Azure Logic Apps, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and API-based integrations. Strong technical expertise in Python, PySpark, Pandas, SQL/T-SQL, ETL/ELT development, data architecture, cloud platform administration, security, access management, and production support for enterprise-scale data environments. Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams; experience supporting advanced analytics or machine learning solutions within Azure AI Foundry is considered a strong asset.
Pay: $120,000 – 150,000 annually depending on experience
Hybrid work environment, on-site 3-4 days per week in North Vancouver, BC
