Rate of Pay: $294.68 daily rate, as of September 1, 2025

Position Summary: The AMDSB is currently seeking Secondary (Grades 9-12) Emergency Teacher Candidates to fill in for the daily absences of classroom teachers. Emergency Teacher Candidates are notified on the day of the vacancy.
Requirements Prior to starting employment as an Emergency Supply Teacher Candidate with the AMDSB applicants will be:
- Teacher Candidates in Year 1-4 of a Concurrent Education Program and/or teachers in receipt of TPP pension
- As we are an English board, oral and written English proficiency is required;
- Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months);
- Emergency Teachers must be available for half or single day occasional teacher coverage on last minute notice;
- Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
- Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products.
