If yes, consider an opportunity with the Strategic and Business Management Branch (SBMB) at the Ministry of Attorney General's Civil Law Division, where you will lead a variety of challenging initiatives and provide leadership and expert advice to senior management.

About the job

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives that strengthen organizational culture and employee experience.
  • Provide guidance on change management strategies to support the successful adoption of new processes and practices.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and make recommendations to inform program development.
  • Design and deliver tools, resources, and communications that promote awareness and understanding of HR priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support leadership development initiatives and contribute to creating a psychologically safe and inclusive workplace.

What you bring to the team

Strategic Leadership and Project Management Skills:

you have:

  • strategic planning skills to effectively translate organizational priorities into integrated strategies and develop implementation and evaluation plans, resources and tools for action

  • demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and/or working groups of professional staff who are not direct reports

you can:

  • lead interdisciplinary or teams and/or working groups through all phases of project management (e.g. scope, timeframes, milestones, deliverables, planning, resourcing, guiding staff) from initial concept through to implementation and adoption
  • manage and lead complex, large-scale concurrent projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • develop actionable and targeted change management plans that include communication, training, coaching, sponsorship and/or other resistance management activities
  • work with senior executives and colleagues across the ministry and provide guidance and support to divisional management on operational priorities and strategic directions of the division

Technical Skills:

you have:

  • knowledge and/or relevant experience in Organizational Development, Organizational Behaviour, Social Work, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, People Change Management, Adult Education or related discipline
  • knowledge of organizational development to develop strategic solutions while staying informed of principles, trends, and decision-making/approval processes
  • strong understanding of theories and practices related to organizational development and performance consulting

Communication Skills:

you have:

  • written and verbal communication skills and can present complex issues to senior management, developing effective briefing materials, reports and presentations
  • presentation and persuasion skills to brief and advise senior executives on critical program business and financial performance and recommend strategies
  • collaboration and negotiation skills to obtain comprehensive understanding of business challenges and opportunities, current and emerging trends

Research, Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills:

you have:

  • research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to deconstruct complex issues and develop strategic assessments
  • knowledge of analytical concepts and techniques to conduct data analysis and derive strategic insights
  • ability to identify trends, options, potential risks and develop mitigating strategies to ensure alignment and effectiveness within the division
