The Quality Coordinator supports the global quality team by managing and tracking quality escapes originating from manufacturing sites. Working from the head office in Montreal, this role ensures that issues identified in the field or at distribution centers are communicated, investigated, and resolved in close collaboration with key stakeholders. The position focuses on documentation, issue tracking, inspections, supplier follow‑up, and managing corrective and preventive actions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate the intake, documentation, and follow‑up of quality escapes identified at factories, 3PL warehouses, or in the market Work closely with the Asia‑based Quality team to communicate issues, request investigations, and track progress on containment and corrective actions Assist in maintaining and updating process work instructions and quality documentation related to issue management Support the creation and upkeep of control plans, inspection routines, and quality checkpoints based on recurring escape trends Participate in root cause analysis activities (5 Whys, basic 8D steps) and ensure corrective actions are properly documented and implemented Perform basic measurement, gauging, and product verification tasks when evaluating reported issues Prepare and update product information documents related to form, fit, and function to support quality assessments Communicate with internal teams (R&D, supply chain, customer service) to support investigations and provide updates on open issues Assist in resolving supplier quality issues by collecting data, coordinating feedback, and ensuring alignment between head office and Asia teams Maintain quality logs, reports, dashboards, and documentation related to quality escapes and corrective actions Conduct routine inspections and quality checks at 3PL warehouses or local manufacturing sites Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and recommending preventive actions Ensure compliance with customer‑specific quality requirements and internal quality policies Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support quality standards and improve product reliability Help evaluate test results and document recommended changes or improvements Provide periodic updates on quality activities, open issues, and performance metrics Perform other related tasks as assigned by the quality team REQUIREMENTS 3-5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or technical support role Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related industrial or business field Basic knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles Experience working with international teams or suppliers is an asset Familiarity with the sports or hockey product industry is an advantage Understanding of EU and US product safety requirements is an asset Experience with supplier compliance programs is helpful but not required Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.) is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Comfortable using basic quality tools and measurement equipment Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively across time zones Strong communication skills in French and English; ability to communicate clearly with overseas teams Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

Ability to travel between 3PL warehouses and local manufacturing sites as needed
