Cronometer Software is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Controller, the Intermediate Accountant is responsible for a broad range of accounting and finance tasks for Cronometer and its associated companies. The successful candidate will support the smooth operation of our accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, accuracy with numbers, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a friendly and professional demeanor. Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the bookkeeping team to perform full cycle-accounts payable and receivable including invoice processing and payments and collections.
- Review incoming invoices, code, obtain required approvals according to approval policies, and process payments to suppliers in a timely manner.
- Handle cash management including monthly counts, bank deposits, and reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation for audits.
- Support the sales process by responding to vendor verification calls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and confidentiality requirements.
- Assist with maintaining our Float card system by uploading receipts, processing reimbursements and card approvals, and responding to status enquiries.
- Assist with the preparation of bi-weekly payroll by gathering required data, and ensuring accurate submission.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting by gathering, checking and analyzing data, and clearly sharing key findings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance; high-volume environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks online.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliations.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and dependable work style.
- Comfort working independently as well as collaborating with remote and in-office team members.
- Familiarity with Canadian payroll, GST/PST and financial reporting considered an asset.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling financial information.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting a SaaS or technology company.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Interest in health, nutrition or technology.
- Aptitude for learning new technologies and flexibility to grow with a tech start up.
