##Opportunity

MacEwan University is seeking a Sport and Wellness Experience Representative for a full-time 4-month non-recurring term opportunity with our Sport and Wellness department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Fitness Centre and Programming, you will help facilitate safe and fun experiences for our clients, through positive interactions and facilities supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring various sites to ensure the safety of participants and the safe and appropriate use of the space and equipment;
• Keeping the space organized, clean and free of hazards;
• Answering general inquiries;
• Tracking usage and attendance to monitor area capacity;
• Completing risk management procedures;
• Responding to security and emergency situations that may arise;
• Assisting with administering First Aid, CPR, AED and Oxygen; and
• Assisting with setup, take down and cleaning of equipment and supplies.

####Skills

You will have:

• Knowledge of sport and recreation environments;
• Customer service skills;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• The ability to work effectively with a team and independently in a fast-paced environment; and
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Intelli.

####Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma.
• Intermediate First Aid and Oxygen Administration Certification.
• Experience in fitness/recreation would be considered and asset.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

####Position Requirements

• The ability to work Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday and primarily evening and closing shifts.
• The successful incumbent will be required to obtain a Police Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check at their own cost.
