Social Media Manager – Instagram & Content (Calgary Preferred)
About the role
Join a dynamic team supporting two established brands in the custom home building and cabinetry sector. This role focuses on managing and elevating the Instagram presence for both Datum Homes and Cathedral Custom. You will be responsible for editing, scheduling, and posting engaging content that aligns with each brand’s visual identity and voice. The position requires a keen eye for design, strong editing skills, and the ability to maintain a consistent posting schedule. Collaboration with the internal team is essential for sourcing new content and staying updated on ongoing projects. While being based in Calgary is preferred for occasional on-site content capture, remote candidates with strong communication skills are also encouraged to apply. This opportunity offers the potential to expand into short-form video creation, content ideation, LinkedIn management, and community engagement as the role evolves.
Deliverables
- Edit and schedule 4–6 Instagram posts per week across two business accounts
- Write captions that reflect each brand’s tone and style
- Maintain a regular and reliable posting schedule
- Collaborate with the team to source new content and updates
- Occasionally visit Calgary sites or the shop for additional content capture (preferred, not required)
- Ensure all content is visually cohesive and on-brand
- Potential to expand into short-form video creation, content strategy, and community engagement
Requirements
- Proven experience managing business or brand Instagram accounts
- Proficiency in photo and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar)
- Strong design sense and attention to visual detail
- Excellent written communication skills for crafting engaging captions
- Reliable, responsive, and able to work independently
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
- Calgary-based or nearby preferred, but not essential
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools is a plus
- Interest in home building, design, or craftsmanship is an asset
