About the role

About The Role Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join their growing operations team. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial electrical systems and equipment. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving complex technical problems, and supporting production in a fast-paced environment, this position is a great opportunity to advance your career.

What You'll Do

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and breakdown support
  • Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues efficiently and safely
  • Install and relocate machinery and electrical equipment as needed
  • Work collaboratively with welding, warehouse, blasting, and production teams
  • Support general building maintenance (e.g., basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing)
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and code specifications
  • Install, repair, and test wiring, switchgear, transformers, lighting, conduit, and related components
  • Test electrical and electronic components for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance
  • Maintain, repair, and test motors, generators, battery systems, and control equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and participate in preventive programs
  • Assist with installing and calibrating industrial instrumentation when required

What We're Looking For Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar industrial environment (preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently
  • Ability to read and understand schematic drawings
  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts)
  • Strong communication skills (read, write, speak English)
  • Able to maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of safe work practices

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean abstract
  • Willingness to relocate
  • Permanent Canadian residency
  • Journeyman Electrician Certification (required)
