Remuneration: $116,892.00 – $120,680.00 per annum (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About The Role The Level 3 Senior Clinical Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing a range of high-level assessment, therapeutic and preventative speech pathology services in paediatric and adult contexts, within scope, according to relevant models of care and priorities. The clinician is able to demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and operate with minimal direct clinical supervision.
Key Deliverables
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based speech pathology services across relevant settings, including outreach and weekend services as required
- Lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and facilitate safe, timely discharge
- Provide clinical supervision and support to junior Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants, and students
- Maintain accurate documentation and activity statistics in line with KPIs and NSW Health Directives
- Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and research with relevant stakeholders
- Demonstrate cultural competence and a commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people
A Successful Candidate Will Have
- A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in speech pathology practice, with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated experience in clinical and team leadership, including supervision of staff and students
- Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and education programs for service improvement
- Strong time management, written and verbal communication, and IT skills, including willingness to utilise telehealth
- A current Class C drivers’ licence and willingness to travel
- Compliance with NSW Health requirements including a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and vaccination category A
- A commitment to NSW Health's CORE values (Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment), workplace safety, and continuous professional development
