About the role
Ucluelet Co-op is hiring a Lead Meat Cutter on a full-time permanent basis, onsite out of the Ucluelet Food Store in Ucluelet, BC.

What you’ll do:
- Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the Meat Department.
- Receive, inspect and properly store meat deliveries.
- Cut, trim, debone and grind pieces of meat
- Wrap, label and package prepared meat for the counter.
- Ensure displays are full, fresh and presentable within the department.
- Facing, filling and organizing of all product items.
- Thorough cleaning of all machines within the department including disassembling and assembling of equipment. Other duties as assigned.

The Team: You will report to the Meat Manager, and will work closely with a team of Meat Cutters and a Meat Clerk. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, communication, and providing the best customer service to the community.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
- Red Seal Meat Cutting certification would be considered an asset.
- 1-2 years of previous meat cutting experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
- You are honest and trustworthy.
This opportunity is a non-management position offering up to $29.23 per hour, depending on experience, and resides with UFCW 1518.
