Role:
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Hatchery Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate is proficient with computer applications, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, initiative, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Responsibilities
- Perform reception duties, including answering phone calls and greeting visitors
- Complete daily payroll editing
- Process daily invoicing
- Maintain and update weekly planners and placement information
- Prepare detailed weekly reports and update complex spreadsheets
- Manage order confirmations
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Monitor and maintain inventory control
- Conduct month‑end counts and reconciliations
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- 2–3 years of administrative experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Payroll experience considered an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated initiative and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization
