Why do we need you?
Bailey Metal Products, a proud subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, is seeking a Quality Inspector for its Concord (Ontario) location. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.
The Quality Inspector will perform duties to facilitate the manufacturing of Bailey parts to specification. The Quality Inspector will be working within a team environment to ensure all aspects of production are completed effectively to meet the necessary quality and safety standards. The Quality Inspector functions in a support role to all other departments.
Day Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and distribute quality documentation (manuals, instructions, forms) and maintain copies on production lines.
- Perform random spot audits on production lines, processes, and inspections to ensure compliance and raise quality awareness.
- Train staff on Quality Management System (QMS), Bailey processes, measuring instruments, and internal systems (e.g., SharePoint).
- Conduct lab testing on paper products and daily inspections of CSSBI-certified products and other production lines.
- Maintain and calibrate all inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
- Create and manage Non-Conformance Reports and control products in Quality Hold areas.
- Analyze inspection data, report findings, and recommend improvements.
- Enhance existing processes and develop new ones as needed.
- Organize and file all completed documents (hard copy and electronic).
- Track and record damaged inventory in coordination with warehouse staff.
- Provide updates, liaise with teams, monitor QMS performance, and support new product development.
- Maintain integrity, adhere to health and safety policies, and participate in quarterly inventory counts.
- Assist with succession planning and cover for Supervisor when required.
- Complete any other work assigned by Bailey.

Core Competencies
- Knowledge of roll-forming, welding, and/or robot operation (asset).
- Ability to read standard/metric measuring tape and perform basic math.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow work directions, training manuals, and safety rules.
- Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- High School diploma (required); post-secondary education is an asset.
- Basic understanding of inspection processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an asset.
- Ability to analyze data and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Working Conditions

Ability to sit/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work on production floor with exposure to heavy equipment, fumes, and dust (PPE required).
