About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Treasury, this position is responsible for assisting the OEG Finance team and its affiliated entities with the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all financial reporting requirements. They will bring hands-on accounting experience assisting with daily, month-end and year-end full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, as well as prepare various ad-hoc financial analysis and documents as required.
Your Focus in this Role:

Responsible for the preparation and processing of invoices, payables and expense reports, and weekly payments

Verify and review invoices for accuracy
-
Reconcile and analyze customer and accounts to support month-end and year-end requirements
-
Maintains day-to-day accounting processes including posting journal entries and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
-
Maintain accurate records and files of procurement transactions
-
Maintain accounting controls by supporting Finance Department policies and procedures
-
Prepares and posts month end journal entries
-
Monthly general ledger reconciliations including bank reconciliations
-
Prepare and file GST
-
Provides inputs to the annual budget processes
-
Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Skills**:**

Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting is required

Minimum of three (3) years in an accounting background or related field is required

Good balance of creative/communications instincts and logical, analytical skills

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event and promotions schedule
