About the role

IO’s Finance, Technology, and Lending Enterprise Team ensures that IO is a financially efficient and effectively managed organization and that the agency’s finances are monitored, reported, and managed appropriately.

Position Purpose We are seeking a Manager, Accounts Receivable to coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of invoicing and collections. This role reviews invoices to clients, ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, and drives improvements in invoicing processes that support Infrastructure Ontario’s operational and strategic goals.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate invoice review and approval in collaboration with Project Accountantsand project teams.
  • Monitor collections and follow up with clients and internal teams; escalate unresolved issues to senior leadership.
  • Prepare monthly aging reports and quarterly Ministry report backs; analyze billing cycles and outstanding balances.
  • Coach and manage a team of direct reports, fostering growth and development.
  • Support internal and external audits, including Public Accounts and MOH reporting.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the Accounts Receivable function, including collaborating with IT to improve invoicing system functionality and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on invoicing best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance transparency and accuracy in accounts receivable reporting.

What We Are Looking For

  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation is an asset.
  • A few years’ experience in accounts receivable, financial reporting, and audit support.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across departments and with external partners.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Experience with process improvement and adapting existing methods to meet evolving needs.

We offer a competitive salary range of $99,800 to $ 149,700 (M2 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
