As a Technical Data Analyst, you know the importance of data to the business. You work closely with both business and technical employees to craft technical solutions that solve both internal and external needs.You draw on your considerable experience in understanding Data, building complex technical requirements, mapping and troubleshooting Data issues to solve sometimes complex problems.
We are committed to fair and transparent compensation. The salary range for this role is based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications and is $90,000 to $110, 000 CAD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.

Translate requirements into functional specifications, data models, and process flows.

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business intelligence, reporting, and system development.

Write, optimize, and validate SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data across multiple sources.

Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and developers to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.

Perform gap analysis and assess the impact of system or process changes.

Develop and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, mapping documents, and process models.

Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by creating test scenarios and validating results.

Provide insights through data analysis to support decision-making and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Required Skills

Data profiling, cataloguing, and mapping to enable the design and build of technical data flows.

Experience in preparing data for and building pipelines and architecture.

Capable of working independently to solve problems under deadlines and to manage multiple projects/priorities under time constraints.

Review functional and design specifications to ensure a full understanding of individual deliverables.

Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting/analytics platforms.

Ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytical thinking.
-
Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Required Experience
-
3+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role in data-driven environments.

3+ Years SQL experience
-
Experienced with designing and documenting end-to-end solutions with a cloud platform's analytic services including storage, permissions, private cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), database services, virtual machines, and parallel processing technologies.

You possess a working knowledge of agile development methodologies including DevOps concepts.

You're well-versed in version control platforms like Git
