POSITION:
The District of Tofino is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Legislative Services Coordinator.
Reporting to the Manager of Legislative Services, the Legislative Services Coordinator provides policy recommendations, data analysis, and administrative support to the organization. The position provides specialized research, administrative, and organizational support services of a complex nature to advance the strategic objectives of Council and the organization, with a high level of accuracy under minimal supervision.

HOURS OF WORK
This is a permanent, full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week, located within the District of Tofino. This position has an hourly wage of $40.00.
Regular workday hours are between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday . Must be available to attend evening meetings in Tofino.
The position offers a full range of benefits, including a pension plan, short-term disability, long-term disability, paramedical services (extended health), vision care, health, dental, life insurance, and more.

About DISTRICT OF TOFINO
The community of Tofino (population approximately 2,000) is situated at the tip of the Esowista Peninsula in Clayoquot Sound on Vancouver Island's west coast. The region takes its name from the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations and comprises about 400,000 hectares of land and marine inlets, all draining into a central marine catchment area.
The Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations have made Clayoquot Sound their home for several thousand years. Tofino's beaches and old-growth rain-forest attracts surfers, nature lovers, campers, whale watchers, fishermen and anyone just looking to get close to nature.
