Job Function Summary
The Country Manager directs all aspects of Coloplast’s sales & marketing operations for the Chronic Care business in the Coloplast Canada subsidiary and has ultimate responsibility for the financial success of the Chronic Care business for Coloplast Canada. A key member of the North America Chronic Care leadership team, this individual will be responsible for execution and continued development of planning and activities to realize our ambitious business objectives for Coloplast Canada. You will oversee and drive commercial activities for Coloplast Canada while establishing and maintaining policies and guidelines for sustainable performance and long-term health of the organization. The Country Manager will also oversee the legal entity for Coloplast Canada.
You will chair the cross-functional Canada Leadership Team (CALT), consisting of leaders from Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Business Support. Together with the Canada Leadership Team, you will ensure that the Chronic Care business for Coloplast Canada continues to act as a high-performing, result-oriented and customer-centric business unit while adhering to Coloplast’s mission, values and vision.
Major Areas of Accountability
Plan, develop, and implement strategies to achieve established ambitious objectives driving growth of revenue and profitability in Canada subsidiary
Drive commercial activities in Canada by identifying and leveraging opportunities to drive market share and continued revenue growth
Direct and chair the Canada management team with leaders from Sales & Marketing, Business Support and Operations
Direct functional scope includes Sales, Marketing, and Consumer Care for Canada
Responsible for Canada P&L and related long-term and short-term planning and forecasting; reviewing and monitoring results through the year and providing the appropriate corrective actions
Develop a strong performance-based culture and teamwork within Canada subsidiary, including setting key objectives with measurable deliverables
Key member of the North America Chronic Care leadership team
Maintain key clinical and retail [dealer / distributor] customer contact and routine customer exposure to ensure that Coloplast is world-class in listening and responding to customer needs
Promote a culture that reflects Coloplast values, encourages high performance, and rewards results
Continue building an organization that hires and develops organizational talent
Lead Canada sales management in developing and implementing strategic sales targeting, objective setting and territory performance management system.
Initiate and develop sales programs to deal with hospital buying groups and national accounts.
Call on and develop contacts among the senior management and key decision makers of major dealers, the leadership of relevant nursing organizations and the leadership of relevant physician and surgeons groups.
Lead negotiation, review and authorization of competitive bids and contracts for Canada subsidiary
Develop marketing strategies, programs and initiatives to assist in the achievement of sales objectives.
Proactively provide market research and analysis to global marketing and product development for identifying product needs, market trends and competitive monitoring and analysis.
Responsible for delivering world-class customer service and customer relations
Develop marketing strategies, programs and initiatives to assist in the achievement of sales objectives.
Ensures proper support of the subsidiary is delivered from shared service resource centers in the areas of Finance, Logistics, IT, HR and Marketing.
Ensure an understanding of national and provincial rules and regulations relative to product registration and reimbursement.
Ensure that the company operates in compliance with all established local government rules, regulations and laws.

Basic Qualifications
Must be local to Oakville, Ontario office
BS/BA in Business or Marketing
10+ years of multi-disciplinary experience in the medical device industry
5+ years of management experience, leading senior level management, professionals and highly skilled employees
Proven track-record in successful business results by consistently meeting or exceeding planned objectives
Preferred Qualifications
MBA preferred
Experience working in a large global medical device organization, working within multi-cultural settings and cross-functional global teams
Direct experience working within a medical device manufacturer or distributor within Canada.
Proactive style and a strategic business sense that will allow him/her to develop credibility across the organization
Preferably senior management experience with international exposure
Strong negotiations experience with clinical and retail / dealer key decision makers
Direct and transparent management style
Strong influence management, multi-tasking and change management

Ability to travel, including international, up to 50%

Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $208,000 - $258,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.

Basic Qualifications
Must be local to Oakville, Ontario office
BS/BA in Business or Marketing
