Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo's Laboratory Division is hiring a Lab Field Sales Specialist for the Ontario region, reporting to the National Sales Manager. The role focuses on selling laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meters, moisture analyzers, software, and services. As a Lab Sales Specialist you will target the laboratory market, working closely with dealer personnel to promote and sell METTLER TOLEDO products. Acting as the primary company representative, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals set by management. What You'll Do: Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand sales and deepen customer engagement. Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets by growing business within assigned accounts. Maintain active customer engagement through daily field visits, conducting product demonstrations, seminars, training sessions, and business reviews. Follow CRM best practices for lead, activity, opportunity, and order management to ensure accurate and up-to-date pipeline data. Establish trusted advisor relationships by mastering product knowledge and delivering exceptional customer support. Identify and create cross-selling opportunities to promote comprehensive Mettler Toledo solutions across the value chain. Utilize marketing materials and develop customer-facing content such as PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports, adhering to corporate guidelines. Complete all required reports accurately and on time. This position is a replacement within our company. METTLER TOLEDO uses artificial intelligence in our recruitment process to enhance job postings and streamline the screening and assessment of prospective candidates. Our team will then invite qualified applicants to participate in the interview process ensuring that human judgement guides our hiring decision.
What You Need to Succeed
A bachelor's degree in sciences preferred, or business/marketing with emphasis on chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science, biochemistry, or neuroscience. 3 - 5 years of related sales experience in scientific instruments or capital equipment. Experience handling accounts and relationships with a distribution network. Prior knowledge of the analytical instrument sales market is a plus. Experience using SAP’s CRM system is a plus. Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
