The Opportunity:
Scope of the Position
Distribution Centre Administrator is responsible for assisting Distribution Centre Manager in all aspects of administration, scheduling, inventory control, and freight claims in conjunction with the head-office team. The position also assists distribution center staff during busy periods.
Duties and Responsibilities
Distribution Centre
- Answer incoming calls from carriers and branches
- Provide administrative support to the distribution center
- Create shipping labels and other paperwork for parcels and LTL skid shipments & FTL (e.g., waybills, shipping manifests, shipping labels); maintain accurate shipping data in the warehouse management system
- Schedules transportation for all outgoing shipments
- Tracks, traces, and update the status of outgoing shipments to all Branches
- Verify the accuracy of orders picked, escalate concerns to Supervisor
- Provide support to all DC staff in the use of ERP distribution functions
- Other duties as required
Inventory
- Check and file packing slips including identifying shipping errors if any.
- Notify purchasing agents or handle supplier shipping errors.
- Prepare freight claims.
- Investigate inventory issues and assist in DC inventory clean-up.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the annual inventory count.
- Participate in annual inventory count.
- Oversee stock adjustments.
Other duties
- Order office stationery, coffee supplies
- Order food/prepare training room for customer functions/seminar training.
- Assist head office staff with their inquiries.
Skills and Qualifications

Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.

Understands basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Education: High school diploma.

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ administration experience.
What we offer:
The target salary range for this position is $22 to $23.50 CAD per hour*. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.*
