About Us
At Sidekick, our mission is to accelerate the recovery journey for people dealing with chronic injuries. Our award-winning physical therapy tools are trusted by Olympic medalists, pro athletes, and featured in outlets like Men’s Health , Running Magazine , and Ultrarunning Magazine .
As we scale, we’re hiring a Senior Marketing Communications and Education Lead to own how customers learn about their injuries and recover with Sidekick. You’ll build programs that translate complex physiotherapy concepts into clear, actionable content - driving revenue per customer, repeat purchases, and customer trust.
This role is ideal for a marketer who thrives on clarity: you can spot where customers get lost, simplify the message, and design an education journey that makes recovery feel approachable and achievable. A background in physiotherapy or rehab is a bonus, but what matters most is your ability to turn complexity into customer-friendly guidance that delivers measurable business impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and launch pre- and post-purchase customer education initiatives (product consultation services, product quizzes, instruction manuals, injury-specific email marketing) that increase conversion rate and revenue per customer.
- Overhaul website, email, and social channels with clear, PT-backed injury education that improves conversion rates, boosts engagement, and builds Sidekick’s authority as the trusted injury relief brand.
- Equip customer service with education-first scripts, FAQs, and resources so that every interaction drives customer confidence and reduces return rates.
- Ensure education is woven into every touchpoint - packaging, product guides, campaigns -so customers consistently experience Sidekick as the leader in injury support.
- Partner with product, operations, and marketing to align education with launches, ensure clarity in product instructions, and close the loop on customer feedback.
- Measure results and continuously refine programs based on customer insights and engagement data.
Success in 3 Months
- Education Program Live : At least one new education initiative (e.g. pre-purchase product consulting) is launched and showing measurable impact on the business.
- Customer Journeys Revamped : Website and email flows are improved to prioritize education, resulting in increased engagement (e.g. higher click-through, better conversion).
- Support as Education : Customer support interactions are backed by new resources (FAQs, scripts, guides).
- Content Engagement Up : Education content is delivering clear value, with customers spending more time on resources and reporting stronger confidence in using products.
About You
You naturally put yourself in the customer’s shoes - someone in pain, frustrated, maybe hearing terms like “plantar fasciitis” for the first time - and you know how to guide them with simple, clear messaging. You’re detail-oriented and notice when copy, visuals, or flows don’t feel right. You’re an excellent communicator who can take complex ideas and explain them clearly. And you’re organized: you can plan, prioritize, and execute programs that move the business forward while keeping everything on track.
- You’re detail-obsessed. You catch unclear messaging, weak visuals, or confusing journeys and know how to make them clear and engaging.
- You think like a customer. You ask yourself, “Would this make sense to someone in pain who’s never even heard of plantar fasciitis?”
- You bring marketing experience. At least 5 years in marketing, content strategy, or customer education (bonus points if it’s in DTC or eCommerce).
- You simplify complexity. Technical or clinical ideas don’t intimidate you - you can turn them into content that builds trust and drives action.
- You’ve built education programs. Web, email, social, post-purchase - you know how to create touchpoints that guide and educate customers.
- You value qualitative insight. Customer feedback, conversations, and observations help you shape strategy just as much as numbers do.
- You might have a physio background. Kinesiology, physiotherapy, or rehab experience is a nice bonus, but not required - your real strength is communication.
Why Join Sidekick?
- Competitive salary + performance bonus
- Health benefits
- A fast-growing team with real ownership and impact
