INTRODUCTION:

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:**

  • Conduct routine mobile patrols of city properties and facilities

  • Address violations of city bylaws and property regulations

  • Responding to reports of individuals violating city regulations, such as drinking alcohol on public property, trespassing, vandalism, drug use, and other prohibited activities.

  • Monitoring city sites, documenting incidents, protecting public property, and requesting voluntary compliance or removal of individuals when necessary.

  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation

  • Communicate with supervisors, city staff, and emergency services when necessary

  • Help maintain a safe and secure environment for the public

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

  • *MUST* Ontario Security Guard License

  • *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate

  • *Mandatory*– Full G class license and Clean Drivers Abstract

  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills

  • Confident, observant, and able to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally while treating all members of the public with respect.

  • Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential.

  • Ability to work independently and at various locations

  • Experience in security, patrol, or law enforcement is an asset

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

  • Job type: Part time

  • Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour

  • Hours of work: Saturday and Sunday 2300 to 0700hrs or 2100-0300hrs

  • Location: 7150 Montrose Rd, Niagara Falls, Ontario
