Could you be the full-time Overhead Catenary System (OCS) Design Engineer in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals.
You'll play a key role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system by contributing to the transformation of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, and Regional Centers), manage technical interfaces with stakeholders, and ensure the quality and performance of OCS designs, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of establishing and reviewing basic and detailed design documents for the project, but also support OCS topics for the System Engineering team.
We’ll look to you for:
- On-time design submission of assigned design documents and/or drawings
- Technical interface management with internal and external stakeholders
- Technical management of suppliers and subcontractors
- Sign-off on OCS design documents
- Preparation and submission of BIM format documents when applicable
- Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Systems
- 3+ years experience or understanding of OCS engineering
- Knowledge of AC Electrification in Railway Projects is preferred
- Familiarity with Canadian standards and common practices
- A Professional Engineer designation as per Canadian regulations or in progress
- Knowledge of BIM software and BIM design
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is$80,000 – $105,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
