About the role
The Tidal Analyst will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, configuring, and optimizing enterprise job scheduling using Tidal Enterprise Scheduler.
This role ensures smooth daily batch operations, timely issue resolution, coordination with application teams, and adherence to SLAs for critical business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations & Monitoring
Monitor all scheduled jobs, workflows, and queues in Tidal.
Identify, analyze, and resolve job failures within SLA.
Perform restarts, reruns, and dependency adjustments as required.
Ensure 24×7 availability of critical batch processes (in shifts if required).
- Job Scheduling & Configuration
Create and modify Tidal jobs, calendars, events, variables, and dependencies.
Build and maintain complex workflows based on business logic.
Perform migration of jobs between environments (Dev/QA/Prod).
- Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Handle incidents, raise problem tickets, and implement fixes.
Participate in daily standups and weekly change-control meetings.
Document root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.
- Automation & Optimization
Optimize job run-times, parallel processing, and dependencies.
Identify opportunities for automation and standardization.
Work with DevOps and application teams to improve scheduling efficiency.
- Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and database teams.
Support business users during batch cycles, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end runs.
Provide onshore leadership/coordination for offshore teams (if applicable).
Required Skills & Experience 3-7+ years of hands-on experience with Tidal Enterprise Scheduler.
Strong understanding of job types (Shell, SQL, Windows, Informatica, SAP, Cloud connectors, etc.).
Experience With Unix/Linux and Windows servers
Shell scripting/Powershell basics
SQL (Oracle/SQL Server) for troubleshooting
Knowledge of file transfers (SFTP, FTPS, NDM etc.).
Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem).
Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot root causes.
Experience supporting large-scale batch operations in a 24×7 environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience With Control-M, Automic, Or Other Schedulers. Exposure to Jenkins/DevOps pipelines.
Basic cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure connectors within Tidal).
Python/automation scripting.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and customer-facing experience.
Ability to coordinate with onshore/offshore stakeholders.
Problem-solving attitude with high ownership.
Ability to work in fast-paced, production-critical environments.
