We are currently looking to hire experienced technicians for our Edmonton Fleet Shop.

We are looking for two qualified Red Seal or equivalent Heavy Equipment Truck & Trailer Technicians (will consider applicants who are close to completing their 4**th year) and one Level 2 Apprentice (Journeyman Trailer Technician) with Trailer CVIP or willingness to obtainto work out of our maintenance location at 2700 Broadmoor Blvd in Sherwood Park.

**The shift is days Monday – Friday (**specific hours of work to be discussed at interview)

Key Job Duties:

Heavy Equipment Truck and Transport Technicians: you will be responsible for routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to our fleet of company owned trucks and owner operator trucks which can include (but is not limited to) Kenworth’s, flat deck trailers, step deck trailers, bulk trailers, tankers, yard equipment which include telehandlers, loaders, forklifts, a top loader & pickups. In addition, you will be required to perform diagnoses and repairs to mechanical, air, hydraulic and electrical system defects. This position will also assist with trailer repairs as needed. We also have a mobile truck to be able to perform repairs at the Kleysen yard (at 12420-17th street N.E.) when equipment is unable to be brought to the shop.

What we are looking for:

• (2 positions) Red Seal or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician preferred with CVIPs on both Transport Trucks and Trailers (or ability/willingness to obtain),
• (1 position) Trailer Technician (level 2 apprentice) with CVIP for Trailers (or ability/willingness to obtain),
• Technician must have own tools and safety boots (see below – annual allowance!),
• Safety first approach to work & commitment to continuous learning,
• Must be physically fit (able to lift approx. 50 lbs., kneeling and crouching for extended periods of time),
• Candidates must have own vehicle as public transportation is not available to our site,
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (as this position is safety sensitive it falls under Kleysen’s Controlled Substance Policy).
