About the role

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides administrative, organizational and secretarial support to physician
  • Maintains schedule
  • Answers the telephone;
  • Orders supplies.
  • Books diagnostic tests,
  • Books procedures for patients and discusses preparation and details of procedure with patients
  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Administration program or equivalent experience required
  • Medical terminology certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous medical secretarial and administrative experience required.
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, GroupWise, OHIP billing, internet, etc).
  • Prefer experience and demonstrated proficiency with EPIC.
  • Must be able to work independently and problem solve.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone and administrative skills.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record.
