About the role
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative, organizational and secretarial support to physician
- Maintains schedule
- Answers the telephone;
- Orders supplies.
- Books diagnostic tests,
- Books procedures for patients and discusses preparation and details of procedure with patients
- Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Administration program or equivalent experience required
- Medical terminology certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years previous medical secretarial and administrative experience required.
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, GroupWise, OHIP billing, internet, etc).
- Prefer experience and demonstrated proficiency with EPIC.
- Must be able to work independently and problem solve.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone and administrative skills.
- Must have an excellent attendance record.
