The Opportunity:

We are looking for talented, reliable and hard-working people who want to make Stanpac a place to grow their careers. The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation to OR be willing to walk to travel between our location on Thompson Road and our location on Industrial Park Road both in Smithville. Personal protective equipment will be required when working in the plant. This will include steel toed shoes or boots.

Available Shifts:
Friday evening after 4pm (8-hours), Saturday afternoon (10-hours) and Sunday afternoon (10-hours). 28 hours total per week.

Wages: Starting at $18/hr

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
  • Dust furniture and vacuum
  • Clean, disinfect and polish fixtures and appliances
  • Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
  • May perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting
  • Provide customer service and quality control
  • These duties will be performed at both of our locations in Smithville (Thompson Road and Industrial Park Road).

Do you have what it takes?

  • Previous cleaning experience an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills, work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Dependable, reliable, punctual
  • Self-starter, efficient, organized, and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion
  • Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure or tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and great attendance record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

What will help you perform the job?

  • Ability to comfortably stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to comfortably walk, sit, bend, and crouch.
  • Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (hairnet, ear plugs, safety glasses, steel toed boots/shoes).
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs (occasionally may be required to lift up to 50lbs).
