Alpine Aerotech is currently seeking a highly motivated Electronics Bench Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in West Kelowna.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ELECTRONICS BENCH TECHNICIAN
-
Perform troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronic equipment including aircraft radio communications, radio navigation, radio pulse navigation, instrumentation, and related components;
-
Diagnose faults and failures using electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals;
-
Operate hand tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble units with precision, including handling of small and delicate parts;
-
Utilize standard electronic testing equipment to evaluate, calibrate, and verify equipment performance;
-
Conduct preventative maintenance, component-level repairs, and adjustments to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards;
-
Maintain accurate repair records, documentation, and test reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements;
-
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve complex technical issues;
-
Maintain clean and safe work areas by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear;
-
Fulfill additional duties as required; and
-
Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccably represents the Alpine Aerotech brand.
OUR MUST HAVES
-
Electronics Engineering Technology Degree or Electronics Technician Certificate is preferred;
-
Consideration will be given to candidates with 3+ years of hands-on experience with Telecommunications, Commercial Instrumentation Services, Two-Way Radio Repair, Computer Repair, Photocopier Repair, or similar electronics repair experience (even without a formal credential);
-
Recent graduates are welcome; however, graduates with relevant repair experience or individuals with a significant industry repair background are preferred;
-
Valid driver's license;
-
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical manuals;
-
Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic systems at the component and system level;
-
Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced experience using Excel, Word, and Outlook;
-
Proficiency with AutoCAD is considered an asset;
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables;
-
Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation;
-
Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships;
-
Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling; and
-
Know what it means to work smarter, not harder.
