Position Title: Quality Management Systems (QMS) Manager

Type: Full Time

Position Location: Fort McKay, Alberta, Head Office

Schedule: 40 Hours per week. Monday to Thursday (Alternating Friday off)

**This is a LOCAL position. Applicant must reside in the Fort McMurray Region or be willing to relocate at their own cost**

Role Summary

Bouchier is seeking a QMS Manager who’s ready to lead our quality systems and document control programs with precision, pride, and purpose. The QMS Manager will lead and manage the company’s Quality Management Office to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products and services, compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and continuous improvement across all business processes. This role involves strategic planning, hands-on leadership, and close collaboration with production, engineering, procurement, and customer service teams to build and maintain a culture of quality excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Champion quality excellence across civil, municipal, maintenance, and logistics projects.

  • Lead audits, inspections, and field reviews to ensure the job is done right the first time.

  • Build and maintain a best-in-class Quality Management System.

  • Define quality goals, policies, and strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Coach and empower teams to take pride in their workmanship and documentation.

  • Oversee company-wide document control systems - ensuring every document tells the same story of excellence.

  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects focused on defect reduction, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across the organization.

  • Collaborate with project leaders to align operations with company and client standards.

Education and Experience:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.

  • 8+ years in Quality Management within the construction or oil & gas industry.

  • Strong knowledge of civil construction, municipal, maintenance operations, and site logistics.

  • Hands-on experience leading quality audits, field inspections, and root cause investigations.

  • Proficiency in document management platforms (Procore, CMS, SharePoint, Aconex, etc.).

  • Familiarity with quality management frameworks.

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.

  • Certification in Quality Management or ISO auditing (CQE, CQA, Lead Auditor) is an asset.

  • Strategic and analytical thinker with operational execution capability.

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
