About the role

The Global Drilling Services division operates in 30 countries for a diverse mining customer base spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals. The Global Products division designs, manufactures and sells drilling equipment, performance tooling, and aftermarket parts and services to customers in over 100 countries.

Boart Longyear is looking to hire a HR Coordinator in Saskatoon, SK. The HR Coordinator is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, data integrity, and document administration, while effectively communicating with a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support, including but not limited to, preparing correspondence, offer letters, forms and reports and processing confidential reports and documents.

  • Manage sensitive and confidential information such as employee relations concerns, personal employee information and organizational changes.

  • Provides clerical support to the HR department such a makes photocopies; mail, scan and email documents; and performs other clerical functions.

  • Sort documents into appropriate files.

  • Assists with planning and execution of special events and communications such as, company newsletter, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other celebrations.

  • Coordinate all aspects of the new hire onboarding process inclusive of legislative and company compliance.

  • Coordinate third party recruitment efforts.

  • Conduct new hire orientation.

  • Proactively develop and execute recruitment strategies that drive quality-of-hire and time to fill.

  • Build strong, diverse candidate pipelines and develop relationships with candidates for future opportunities.

  • Create a stellar candidate experience in identifying and anticipating candidate needs, following issues to closure, collaborating with key stakeholders to maximize candidate experience and meet the expectations of the business.

  • Understand the industry and apply knowledge of the marketplace to help fill positions.

  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

  • Holds an CHRP, CHRL or CPHR designation (or eligible to hold designation).

  • 0 to 2 years of HR experience.

  • Bilingual (French) is an asset.

  • Proven experience prioritizing and managing multiple assignments concurrently, performing well under pressure, and meeting deadlines, while ensuring acute attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Some travel will be required.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong interviewing and influencing skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills to support with career fairs, graduation ceremonies, and community events.

  • Comfortable with MS Office tools.
