The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will play a key role in guiding strategic decision-making by delivering insightful financial analysis, risk assessment and data-driven recommendations. This position will collaborate with business leaders to support growth and enhance profitability, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, oversee variance analysis and manage a team of financial analysts to produce meaningful reports and analytics. Additionally, this role will be responsible for overseeing the customer agreement and quoting process, ensuring financial integrity and alignment with business objectives.

In this role you will lead:
Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Analyze and report budget variances to management, including explanations and recommendations.
  • Interpret financial results and provide actionable insights to support business improvement.
  • Conduct ongoing cost reduction analysis across all departments.
  • Create ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Support the Executive team in developing KPI’s and implementing measurement tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Compile and report key business metrics to leadership.
  • Manage month-end reporting activities, including margin analysis, inventory review, and management reporting.

Pricing & Customer Agreements

  • Review and approve customer agreements and quotes within designated thresholds.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of pricing lists.
  • Lead pricing strategy initiatives to simplify structures and optimize margins.

Leadership & Strategic Initiatives

  • Mentor and develop the Financial Analysts, setting priorities and guiding performance.
  • Participate in strategic projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of Finance.

What You Need

  • University degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA designation.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in senior finance roles such as Controller, Manager of FP&A, or Finance Manager.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative, data-driven analytics to assess product and business performance.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership in building and managing high-performing teams with a focus on accountability and results.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled in influencing and negotiating across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and technical capabilities.
  • Sound decision-making skills, including effective problem-solving and information gathering.
  • Ability to manage complex initiatives under tight deadlines.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on continuous business and process improvement.
  • Proven track record of setting and achieving objectives.

  • SAP experience
