About the role
Job Description We are seeking an Industrial Electrician with experience in industrial maintenance to support our high-purity chemical manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for building industrial control panels, installing field wiring and instrumentation, and maintaining VFD systems in a precision-driven production environment.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Engineering Department to enhance equipment reliability, optimize automation performance, and improve overall process efficiency. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and wire custom industrial control panels (small to medium scale)
- Install cables, conduit, and wiring for electrical and instrumentation systems
- Install and terminate devices including valves, flow meters, pressure, temperature, and level sensors
- Understand and integrate level sensors and level controllers into process systems
- Troubleshoot and repair automation controls, electrical panels, and instrumentation
- Safely work with a range of voltages: 24V, 110V, 220V, and 480V AC/DC
- Maintain and service temperature controllers, relays, current sensors, pumps, and motor contactors
- Read and interpret schematics and electrical drawings, support panel layout and assembly
- Perform clean, organized, and high-quality wiring suitable for high-purity environments
- Conduct routine maintenance, calibrations, and keep detailed maintenance logs
- Support shift coverage and respond promptly to equipment failures or emergencies
- Follow arc-flash safety procedures (CSA Z462), wear required PPE, and comply with all site safety standards
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and mechanical teams, and interface with external contractors as needed
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices
- Strong work ethic and willingness to support call-ins or emergency work when required.
Qualifications
- Valid 442A Industrial Electrician License (or equivalent trade certification)
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and adherence to work permits and procedures
- Familiarity with ESA and OHSA standards; confident in lockout/tagout and safe isolation practices
