We’re looking forCasual Weekend Cleanupemployees to join our Heffley Creek Division, located inKamloops, British Columbia. With approximately 215 employees, Heffley Creek produces plywood and veneer products, safely and sustainably while producing approximately 180 million square feet of plywood and 28 million square feet of veneer per yearfor customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment toworking safely. -Attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strongcommunication & interpersonal skills.
  • Strongproblem-solving skills.
  • Ability towork independentlywith little supervision.
  • Ability to work in aphysically demanding industrial environment.
  • Havereliable transportationto site as the work location is not accessible by transit.
  • Previous experience in a forest products industry considered an asset.

In this role you will**:**

-Work independentlyas part of a team dedicated to safely and efficiently producing lumber products. -Perform a variety of labour and production dutiesaround the mill supporting the production of our plywood products.

  • Dogeneral clean-up activitiessuch as sweeping, keeping equipment clean, etc.

  • As part of these activities, you will be required to stand long periods of time, frequently twist and bend while working on the production line.

  • Perform most of your work indoors but may be exposed to both hot and cold temperatures from time to time. -Ability to worka variety of shifts, includingweekends and holidays
