Role Summary As a Law Clerk - Global Immigration - Senior Associate at Vialto Partners, you will play a critical role in managing the global immigration needs of our corporate clients. You will oversee adherence to immigration laws and regulations, deliver exceptional client service, and manage the end-to-end immigration process. This role requires close collaboration with clients, employees, legal teams, government authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient and coordinated immigration processes. Your responsibilities will be essential in navigating complex immigration procedures and ensuring positive outcomes for all parties involved.

Role Responsibilities

  • Client Interaction & Advisory: Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients seeking immigration support, providing expert guidance on immigration processes and timelines.
  • Tailored Immigration Plans: Understand the specific immigration needs of each client and develop customized immigration strategies to meet those requirements.
  • Immigration Process Management: Oversee the complete immigration process for employees, including preparing and reviewing visa applications, work permits, and other relevant documents.
  • Compliance Review: Assist clients in developing compliant Immigration programs.
  • Documentation & Case Management: Prepare, review, and submit immigration forms, petitions, and documentation to enhance accuracy and compliance. Maintain well-organized, secure case files for each client.
  • Commercial Awareness: Record time efficiently, support billing activities, and monitor scope changes to enhance profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, government authorities, consulates, embassies, and third-party providers to stay updated on immigration rules and resolve case-related issues.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle unexpected challenges during the immigration process with professionalism, efficiency, and proactive solutions.
  • Client Updates: Provide clients with regular updates on the progress of their immigration cases and any changes in immigration regulations.
  • Insight & Analysis: Use various tools and techniques to analyze trends in immigration and provide insights that can inform decision-making.
  • Client Feedback & Inquiries: Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and courteously to enable high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor and train junior team members on case management, immigration forms, and immigration applications.
  • Technology Implementation Support: Assist with the implementation of relevant technology platforms and tools within the service line, where applicable.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Immigration Expertise: In-depth understanding of global immigration laws, regulations, and procedures, ensuring compliance and successful case outcomes.
  • Client Service Skills: Strong ability to deliver exceptional client service, advising clients on complex immigration issues and offering tailored solutions.
  • Case Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple immigration cases simultaneously while maintaining organized and accurate case files.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing immigration forms, petitions, and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, government officials, and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive approach to resolving unexpected immigration issues and providing efficient solutions.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of time recording, billing processes, and scope management to ensure commercial success.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with immigration case management software and proficiency with standard office tools.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Experience in mentoring and training junior team members on case management and legal practices.

Role Requirements And Preferences

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in any related field

  • Preferred Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in global immigration, managing immigration cases for corporate clients

  • Experience in handling end-to-end immigration processes, including visa and work permit applications
