Full time 37.5 hours per week
Permanent £75K + with a range of Exceptional Benefits We’re looking for experienced and strategic Regional Patient Access Director – Front Office to lead the transformation of patient access across our facilities. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering a five-star, hospitality-driven patient experience , ensuring every interaction reflects the highest standards of care, professionalism, and service excellence.
This role is pivotal in establishing a premium patient experience across all facility Patient access points. Reporting to the COO Revenue Cycle (Front Office) the role holder will lead, direct, manage and develop all operational activities within the Patient Administration in line with company policies and audit requirements
The successful candidate will lead and mentor the Patient Access Management team, co-develop policies aligned with HCA standards, and collaborate with facility leadership and stakeholders to drive innovation and excellence in patient access.
As a Regional Patient Access Director you'll work collaboratively with other regional directors to establish a premium patient experience. You will lead and mentor the Patient Access Management team, co-develop policies and processes, and influence innovative strategies that enhance patient flow, coordination of services, and financial management. You will also deliver on agreed objectives and drive measurable change.

- Patient Experience: Lead regional teams to produce industry leading customer top box results. Collaborate with service-line and facility leads to support world class service pathways. Identify trends/patterns of patient and other customer pain points and work with business partners to solve. Implement demonstrated internal and competitor best practices across HCA UK. Create mechanisms (KPIs) to evaluate, influence and improve the customer experience.
- Leadership: Co-develop and implement the Patient Access division strategy by fostering a culture of professional leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Lead by example to embed HCA’s values, support the recruitment and development of high-performing teams, and ensure optimal operational outcomes through strategic planning, training, analytics, and stakeholder engagement
- Relationship Management: Build strong, collaborative relationships with hospital executive teams and key stakeholders, maintaining clear and persuasive communication. Act as a change agent, promoting innovation and challenging the status quo. Ensure alignment with departmental and hospital leadership on KPIs, SLAs, and success measures. Delegate effectively, set clear objectives, and hold teams accountable for performance. Represent the Patient Access network in corporate forums, ensuring staff are informed and engaged with HCA’s goals. Communicate service initiatives, benefits, and risks transparently to stakeholders and senior teams.
- Finance / Operational Excellence: Drive revenue growth by optimising patient access and service offerings, while ensuring staff understand and communicate HCA’s value proposition. Support continuity of care and improve patient loyalty through a premium, patient-centric experience. Maintain cost-effective operations, monitor financial performance, and lead risk mitigation planning. Ensure compliance, manage budgets and expenditures, and oversee transparent financial reporting and month-end processes.
What You’ll Bring
- 10 years of progressive and proven success leading Hospital administration or within a Hospitality setting for a large corporate provider.
- Experience working in a complex matrix organization interfacing senior most contributors -
- Business development and service line optimization experience.
- Advanced understanding of healthcare and commercial operations.
- Executive presence and very strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Visionary and inspirational leader with proven results in service line and staff development.
- Strong collaborator with a sense of ownership & accountability.
- Highly organised and responsive with a strong work ethic.
- Deadline and goal oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
- Meditech or other healthcare ERP.
- Strong ability to use and navigate Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Power BI.
- Degree educated in a finance or business administrative related field or relevant experience
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills commensurate with career experience within a 5 * organisation.

The Lister Fertility Clinic is one of the largest fertility centres in the UK. The clinic was established in 1988 and since that time has maintained its reputation as being one of the most successful IVF clinics in the country with nearly 20,000 'Lister' babies born.
