About the role
Division Assistant Principal Elk Island Catholic Schools Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Vegreville , Camrose 202 6 -202 7 We are seeking faith filled Catholic educators interested in serving as Assistant Principal who have a student centered vision and the ability to provide strong leadership. Successful applicants may initially be placed in any community served by Elk Island Catholic Schools. Employment would commence in August 2026.
You are a strong Catholic who is a natural relationship builder, interacting positively with students and connecting with parents, support staff, teachers, parish and community partners. Your leadership is open and transparent and you are committed to professionally and collaboratively doing what is best for students.
Through a track record of recent successful teaching and leadership experience, you have developed a positive and motivating style. You are a strong instructional leader knowledgeable in developing an inclusive educational program for all students. You use a collegial, strength-based approach to decision-making that is grounded in consensus-building. Above all, you are a faith filled person and a champion for students and staff.
Your educational credentials include a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate supported by a Master's degree or equivalent relevant to the field of education (may be in progress). Leadership Quality Standards certification (LQS) is considered an asset. Ukrainian Bilingual and/or French Immersion is considered a strong asset. We are seeking someone who has a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching and instructional experience, and will be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in the Catholic Leadership Quality Standards and the Marks of an Excellent Catholic Leader. You are also able to demonstrate active parish and community involvement.
