BGC Okanagan invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Accounting Technician - Billing.
The Accounting Technician will provide clerical and financial support for the organization’s Licensed Child Care Programs. Key responsibilities include preparing and processing invoices, collection of invoices, entering data into computerized systems, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain spreadsheets on Club’s billing information.
-
Process changes in accordance with information received from various sources.
-
Create invoices for Licensed Child Care Programs using Sage300 Accounts Receivable.

Records payments and other revenue, including Club Daily Deposit Tracking and Weekly Deposit packages.

Processes PAD’s and PAC’s.
-
Follow up on outstanding invoices, investigate discrepancies.

Completion of subsidy claims for the Ministry.

Create and submit monthly Child Care Operating Grant enrollment numbers to the Ministry.
-
Assists in supporting with parent refunds and credits.
-
Administratively supports programs and services.
-
Centralize communication to and from families and Clubs.
-
Provide mid-month and month end reports.
-
Maintains the filing system in accordance with established guidelines.

Prints pre-defined reports from computerized systems.
Skills and Qualifications:

Grade 12 education with post-secondary courses in accounting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge of and experience with Sage 300 Accounting Software.

Previous experience in billing and accounts receivable.
Hours: 35 hours per week: Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: $50,000.00 per year, RRSP, benefits, paid vacation and sick time
