Manager, Data & Technology Finance

Finance – FP&A and Data & Technology

Informed decision-making is at the heart of any successful company. As a member of Best Buy Canada’s Accounting and Finance Team, you will apply your knowledge of best practices and play a crucial role in helping to grow our business.

As the finance manager of data & technology your expertise in finance methodologies and reporting/business intelligence tools will enable you to lead a team in delivering effective reporting, accurate forecasts, and insightful analyses, while driving process efficiencies and providing developmental and coaching support to your team.

We embrace a remote-first working model, leveraging in-person interactions for strategic, collaborative and social purposes at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC.

What will you do as the finance manager of data & technology

  • Guide the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions to provide technology business leaders with better visibility into the organization’s results, help drive informed decision making and guide the business to achieving company goals.
  • Partner closely with our data and technology stakeholders to synthesize financial data, identify variances and trends, and deliver financial and operational insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Prioritize demands and manage resources to ensure deliverables are completed efficiently and meaningful information is presented accurately.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in a specific discipline within the finance team, ensuring practices such as budgeting/forecasting, management reporting, business cases, and financial modelling are executed timely and accurately.

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of business experience and proven competency with financial analysis, financial planning, and management reporting
  • 2+ years of leadership experience leading a team, providing coaching, development, and support
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Power BI or SQL experience
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to compile, analyze and interpret information, and communicate in a simple and succinct manner
  • Accounting/Finance designation (CPA, CFA) preferred

Annualized base pay range

$115,000.00 - $130,000.00

Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
