About the Role: Reporting to the Interoperability Services Manager, the Data Quality Administrator plays a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and improving data quality within EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems. This role is responsible for daily operational support, error resolution, and coordination of data within core EHR services.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and resolve data quality issues within EHR systems
- Support daily maintenance, error resolution, and workflow coordination.
- Collaborate with stakeholders using consensus-driven decision-making.
- Recommend and support business process changes and data remediation.
- Monitor and report on registry errors and data concerns.
- Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and training.
- Support incident management processes.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and data quality standards.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
- Completion of a Certificate in Health Information Management, Health Informatics Management, or a related field.
- Minimum one year of experience working in a similar role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of information management, including data collection processes, data quality practices, and the ability to work with specialized data.
- Proficiency with database and software applications, particularly Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Health Information Protection Act, and related frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver high‑quality customer service and build positive working relationships.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, and recognize when issues require escalation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to research complex issues, synthesize information, and provide well‑supported recommendations.
Competencies: Communication: Ability to actively listen, paraphrase and ask precise questions in order to clarify and understand information being received.
Problem Solving: Ability to interpret and apply complex information to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues in a rapidly evolving environment, while also being able to address the concerns of frustrated users with patience and clarity to achieve mutual understanding.
Interpersonal: Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with coworkers and clients to enhance trust in the services provided while also strengthening clients’ knowledge and confidence in using those services effectively.
Organizational: Ability to independently prioritize and organize one’s own workload to meet tight deadlines as well as adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
Analytical: Ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize specialized information so it can be effectively applied to meet organizational needs while working within established constraints.
Teamwork: Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as a collaborative team member to meet the needs of clients and coworkers and to build strong, positive working relationships..
Technical: Ability to understand data connections within databases and specialty data in order to identify corrective data quality measures.
