What you will do:

  • Provide assessment and treatment to a wide variety of clients with varying needs, including those with chronic and/or mental health conditions.
  • Provide impartial home, job, and safety/attendant care assessments, functional ability evaluations, insurer examinations, ergonomic assessments, client education and job coaching, as required.
  • Be responsible for managing and prioritizing clinical caseloads, and for the coordination and delivery of therapeutic services.
  • Participate in a collaborative care model providing holistic, comprehensive care to meet the needs of clients.
  • Promote positive relationships between clients, team members, funders and the community.

What you will need to be successful:

  • You are registered as a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Alberta.
  • Ability to travel within the Red Deer area (valid driver's license and reliable car is required).
  • Health Care Providers Level C CPR certification issued within the last 12 months prior to commencement of employment.
  • Your focus is to embrace person and family-centered care.
  • You are passionate, empathetic, use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making client decisions.
  • You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently.
